Double Jogging Strollers –
When I was pregnant, I researched strollers for months and months. I read magazines, internet sites, books, asked friends… and still couldn’t find a stroller that had all of the features I was looking for. Now, I’m not easy to please. I expected a lot from a stroller and I wasn’t going to stop until I found it. This is what I was looking for:
1) light weight stroller
2) 3 wheels instead of 4 option for easy maneuvering
3) seat that can face forward or backwards towards mommy
4) child feeding tray
5) good size basket for my own items (i.e., diaper bag, purse, blanket, etc)
6) large sun shade to protect the baby
7) several recline settings that recline down to a flat setting for sleeping
appropriate leg support for baby
the option to place the car seat on the frame without having to have the regular stroller seat below it (as you have to do with the Chicco & Graco strollers) making them much heavier and bulkier.
Well, after searching and searching for what seemed like decades, I finally found the stroller that was perfect for me and had every feature I was looking for. The MIA MODA ATMOSFERRA stroller by Mia Moda Inc. It’s so comfortable, lightweight, easy to fold, has every feature any parent could ever dream of. Best of all, it’s only $299.00 retail. That’s no more than you’d pay for some of the cheapest travel system strollers on the market. It has received nothing but positive reviews from everyone that uses it. If you’re looking for an all-around excellent all-purpose stroller, this is the one for you!
Review
One of my favorite features of the stroller is the ability to switch the seat to face the front or rear of the stroller. Very few strollers on the market offer this feature. Those that do offer it cost hundreds more and do not offer all of the features the Atmosferra does. Being able to see my daughter as I push the stroller allows me to keep an eye on her, feed her, play with her or just watch her sleep! The three wheel feature, all-wheel suspension and swivel lockable front wheels make for a smooth comfortable ride for baby and very easy to push. The 3-position recline and adjustable calf support is comfortable for baby to sleep in, sit up and look around and eat. It’s been perfect for my daughter from birth through the toddler years. The canopy folds over to almost completely cover the seat, providing ample protection from the sun for baby. The child food tray, including a cup holder, is removable and makes it easier to get baby in and out. The handle for the stroller has two adjustments to fit mom and dad’s height and also comes with a cup holder. In addition to all of these features, there’s also a very large storage basket for my purse, diaper bag and lunch box and a pocket on the backseat of the stroller where I keep hand sanitizer and an extra blanket.
In addition to these features, it also offers calf support, splash guards on the rear tires, becomes a light weight travel system with the addition of the Mia Moda car seat and it’s free standing when folded.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this stroller and am surprised that it has not become more popular. It has yet to be sold at the major retailers like Babies R’ Us or Target but hopefully they’ll stock it soon! The Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie hits theaters March 19, 2010. This 20th Century Fox live action family comedy is based on the #1, best-selling kid series, written by Jeff Kinney. Rated PG, the Wimpy Kid comedy does have some crude language and humor.
The highly anticipated kid’s film was originally going to be released on April 2, 2010 but the release date was thankfully moved up.
The Wimpy Kid series is Greg’s humorous narration of his middle school misadventures. My daughter said, “most every kid in our school has read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” It is true, even the most reluctant young and even older reader enjoys the comic strip, hand-written style and comedy found in this novel series that is printed on lined pages.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid stars Zachary Gordon as Greg, Steve Zahn as Greg’s dad and Rachael Harris as Greg’s mom. Greg has a ‘mean’ older brother, Rodrick, a funny but ‘annoying’ little brother, Manny and ‘embarrassing’ best friend, Rowley.
The film covers Greg’s first year of middle school. Other character favorites from the book series featured in this movie include: Fregley, Chirag, and Patty Farrell. I doubt that this will be the last movie to be made from the Wimpy Kid series. Check out the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie trailer here.
Simple stick figure illustrations and adolescent humor turn into a hilarious film for the big screen that is sure to be a box office hit. My children and millions of other kids are sure to fill the theaters this March 2010 to see this funny film.
The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary will be in stores March 16, 2010 and includes new cartoons, details on the making of this film, and photos from the movie.
